Dialog Inter-Club Sevens 2018: Kandy win first leg

The Kandy Sports Club stamped their class when they claimed the Dialog Inter-Club Sevens first leg after beating Police SC 26-5 in the Cup Finals at the Racecourse rugby grounds in Colombo yesterday.

The star-studded Kandy SC edged out CH&FC in one of the semifinal encounters and in the other Police got the better of Air Force 17-12.In the third place playoff, Air Force shocked the much-fancied CH&FC 24-19.Kandy collected 50 points from this win, followed by Police (46), Air Force (42) and CH&FC (39) in the second leg.

CR&FC pulled out of the first leg citing injuries to their players. The second leg will take place at the same venue on 16 and 17 June.  (SJ)
