Dialog and SLC T20 World Cup song ‘Ape Kollo’ trending on Youtube

To express the entire nation’s belief in the Sri Lankan cricketers during the T20 Cricket World Cup and empower them on their way to glory, Dialog Axiata together with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) recently released the ‘Ape Kollo’ song. 

The released song echoes the hope, support and belief within all Sri Lankans with the ongoing T20 World Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates.

The recently launched song has garnered much momentum and is trending on Youtube. The song acts as a confidence booster to ‘Our Lions’, as they ready themselves to conquer cricket fields in the Middle East, and was produced to support the Sri Lanka Cricket Team by capturing and conveying to them the best wishes of all Sri Lankans.

The song was written by Triad and sung by a host of Sri Lankan artists and Dialog brand ambassadors, including Bhathiya and Santhush, Umaria, Yohani, Sanka, Sajitha, Sanuka, Madhuvy and guest performer – Roy. The artists hope to convey their strong belief in the national team, overcoming all odds, and securing a place in history as victors.

Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup commenced against Namibia on 18 October, with their second match being played against the Irish on 20 Oct., followed by the Netherlands on 22 October as part of the qualifying stage of the World Cup. The grand finale will be played on 14 November in Dubai.
