Stern warning by Defending champs Peterites

Defending league and knockout champions St. Peter’s College sent out a stern warning to other schools in the Dialog League when they handed off a 112/0 win over Thurstan at Bambalapitiya last weekend.

They added 55 points in the earlier half and in the later even better with 57 points coming mainly from their bench which speaks volume for the lads from Bambalapitiya in order to retain the League once more. In total they scored 18 tries and 11 conversions.



Trinity retain Canon R de Saram Shield

 A magnificent second half rally took Trinity College through to retain the Canon de Saram Shield when they outplayed S. Thomas by 31/8 at their Pallekele Rugby Stadium last weekend.

With this win Trinity takes the tally to 27 wins to Thomians 18 with one game ending in a tie out of the 46 played so far.

At the short breather Thomians led 8/7.



Winning start for Science

Science College started their season in a winning way when they beat Antonians by 27/14 at Nittawela yesterday.

At the short breather it was Science who led 15/14.



Royal outclass Kingswood

Royal College outclassed Kingswood College 60/5 and sent out a message to other schools that they too are a top contender for League this year.

At the short breather Royal led 27/5. 



Isipathana warm up for the season with half century plus score

Isipathana started their season with a magnificent 50/3 win over the newcomers, Sri Sumangala Kandy at Havelock Park.

At the short breather it was 14/3 lead for the Green Shirts.



Winning start for DS

D.S. Senanayake handed off Rajans 44/12 at Longdon Place for a fine start for their season.

Earlier last Friday Vidyartha shocked Joes with a 27/22 win at Havelock Park in the season opener.
