Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa elected new Patron of Saracens SC

Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa

Sri Lanka Cricket Vice President Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa  was elected the new Patron of Saracens SC at their 84th annual general meeting held at the club meeting room.

Dr. Dharmadasa succeeds the late Thalath Ismail who passed away in the UK after a brief illness. Nuski Mohamed who was re-elected president of the club said Ismail was a very loyal and long standing member of the club and captained them in the early sixties. He was also a member of the champion Observer Cup team and many other teams which performed creditably in the late fifties and early sixties. He also served as a vice president of the club for many years.

•  President: Nuski Mohamed

•  Vice President: Zacky Deen Macan Markar

Club Captain: Nasser Majeed

•  Secretary: Shibly Vilcassim         

•  Treasurer: Muiyad Cader

• Asst. Secretary: S.D. Macan Markar

• Asst. Treasurer: Sabry Ibrahim

• Cricket Secretary: Priyantha Algama

• Social Secretary: Muyiad Idroos

• Executive Committee: Sherrif A. Rahuman, Bilal Mohamed, Sa’adi Thawfeeq, Ramly Vilcassim, Yusri Macan Markar, Shiyam Mohamed, Rauf Naina Marikar, Hikam Hashim.
