Dr. Kelum elected President of Sri Lions

Dr. Kelum Sujith leading sports promoter, former rugby player and rugby referee, was appointed as the President of the Sri Lions who will be making their debut in the A Division Club Rugby League for 2024/2025 encounters which will kick off in November 2024. He is also the founder of the organisation. 

Former Peterite, Havies SC, CR&FC, and national player Kevin Dixon will lead the outfit with two former Havies players, Chanaka Chandimal and Shehan Dias, selected as his deputies. Rajeew Perera will coach the outfit which will have Amila Chaturanga as his deputy. Australian experienced Kalindu Kariyawasam will be the Strength and Condition Coach of the outfit. Former Police SC and Kandy SC player, Sudath Sampath will be one of the advisers. 

Already they have registered with 27 leading players plus a few more leading school boys from Colombo and Kandy are tipped to join the new A Division Club in the near future after the completion of the schools season.

The following appointments were made at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place in Colombo recently.
