Ritzbury, Sri Lanka’s number one chocolate, powered the ‘30th Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship’ which concluded on a successful note recently.
Organised in partnership with Sri Lanka Squash (SLS), the Championship kicked off on Saturday, 12 October and concluded on 16 October, at the Air Force Squash Complex in Ratmalana.
For 2019, the Boys Under-19 Champion was Druvinka Perera while Sameera Deen was adjudged the Girls Under-19 Champion. The Most Promising players of the Championship – Junior Player (Boys) was D.H.T. Randeniya and Anargi Perera was awarded the Junior Player (Girls) for 2019.
Over 400 girls and boys including the top-ranked junior national players participated in this year’s Championship. The 30th Ritzbury Junior National Squash Championship featured girls and boys, in age groups under-9, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19. In addition, the novices’ events for age groups under 11, 15, and 19 also took place attracting an exciting lineup of new players to the game.
Ritzbury has continuously powered the Championship for 12 consecutive years, demonstrating its deep commitment to support and promote squash throughout the country.
