The 3rd Omega Trophy the annual colourful golf event ended at Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) with 138 golfers teeing off which was played in three-person scramble format last weekend.
Golf enthusiasts gathered for a day of competitive play, with this year’s tournament featuring Texas three-member scramble format with 138 golfers competing in groups of three, showing their skills on the renowned course.
Winning team comprising, Dulanka Weeraduwage, Rohan Fernandez and Micheal Magala, all three won a tour to Switzerland to watch the European tour event Omega Classics in 2025.
Tharanga Gunasekera, Saneth Gamage and Nishantha Perera were placed first runner up while Sameera Ganegoda, Manjula Chadrasoma and Thushara Rupasinghe were placed 2nd runner up in the competitive events.
Longest Drive for Gents was won by Noordeen Sethwala, while Longest Drive for Ladies was won by Dhanushi Senadhira.
This marks the third year of Omega’s sponsorship showing the support for golf and the brand’s commitment to the sport in Sri Lanka. The event not only celebrates individual excellence but also fosters camaraderie among players, enhancing the spirit of the game with an evening cocktail hosted by Omega soon after the prize event.
