The 2nd edition of the Eagles Quadrangle Cup Golf Tournament began yesterday at Eagles Golf Links in China Bay, Trincomalee.
The two-day event is conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force Eagles Golf Link and Courses in partnership with SLT-MOBITEL.
This team-based format will see Air Force Eagles Links and Courses, Royal Colombo Golf Club, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, and Victoria Golf and Country Resort will play against each team consisting of 15 players with two ladies compulsory for each outfit. The best 12 cards will be selected to identify the winner in the end. A notable highlight of this year’s tournament is the introduction of a brand-new “Island Green”, a first-ever feature in Sri Lankan golfing history. This addition is poised to heighten the allure for golfers, adding a unique element of challenge to the game. The awards event will take place on 20 May in the afternoon hours.
SLT-MOBITEL and People’s Bank have partnered with Air Force Eagles’ Golf Links and Courses for the sponsorship.
Sri Lanka Air Force organises the Commanders Cup and Quadrangle Cup each year which are the two looked forward events in the golfing calendar.
