Havelock sponsor handing over jersey to skipper Azmir Fajudeen
FLYHISPORTS, a brand based in Australia that deals in the sports and activity market will sponsor Havelock Sports Club as its main sponsor for a 2nd year in tandem at the 2023/2024 rugby season.
FLYHISPORTS, Strategy Consultant, Dr Nirmal de Silva said: “We are proud to sponsor Havelock Sports Club for the second year in tandem. The club is a household name and we want to further develop our relationship.”
The main sponsor will also prop up with Havies and put up a Rugby Academy early next year.
Leading nutrition partner, Prima will be the Co-Sponsor of Havies.
Speaking to the media, Prima International Marketing Manager Achala Ramanayake said: “We are very pleased to continue with Havies for the second year in tandem. We have made immense contributions towards national youth causes having supported talent in rugby, cricket, golf, athletics and other sports. We hope the power of sports builds character, enhances leadership skills and defines values of teamwork, perseverance and loyalty which will shape the future of youth.”
Havelock Sports Club, President, Rajiv Perera said: “We are thankful to our sponsors who showed their continued support for the second year in a row. All our home matches will be played under lights at 6.30 pm to attract a good crowd back into Club rugby. Further, the Rugby Academy will be set up early next year with the main sponsor and Havies”.
Lanka Hospital PLC will be the Medical Partner of the Havies for the 2023/2024 rugby season.
Havies will be led by former Royalist Azmir Fajudeen while two Sri Lankan children living overseas, Oliver Buckle and Ethan Loos will figure in the side as well. Saliya Kumara will be heading the coaching unit.
