Faldo Series Sri Lanka 2025 powered by DFCC Bank and hosted by Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), continued into its day 2 yesterday with some top-class performances across all segments.

Haroon Aslam and Yannik Kumara held on to the top position in the 17 to 21 Boys category end of day 2 yesterday. Once again both youngsters were tied back to back second day as well. Reshan Algama and Kaya Daluwatte maintain their top position in their segment.

 Reshan Algama leads Boys 13-16 segment 

Reshan Algama, left-handed world-ranked junior, didn’t have his best day but still managed to maintain his overall lead and dominance in the Boys 13-16 category with a total score of 140 after a second-round 73. Hot on his heels Jevahn Sathasivam, who delivered an under-par round of 70 for a total score of 143, placing him just three strokes behind Algama. Jevahn had a great day 2 with birdies on 7. 8, 14 and 15.

Kaya Daluwatte dominates Girls 13-21 division

In the Girls 13-21 category, Kaya Daluwatta once again proved her immense potential, carding another 3-under-par round of 69. With a total score of 138, Kaya remains the standout performer in her division, showcasing remarkable consistency. Behind her, Dia Cris Kumar (Ind) holds second place with 150.

Kaya’s dominance echoes the immense talent she has nurtured under the guidance of the Sri Lanka Golf Union’s Junior Development Program plus her overseas exposure which she gained playing in India as well.

 Haroon and Yannik share top position in Boys 17-21 division 

The Boys 17-21 category saw exceptional play on Day 2, with both Haroon Aslam and Yannik Kumara shooting impressive 2-under-par rounds of 69 to share the top spot at 141. Both were on equal terms on top spot on day 1 as well. A intense battle is on the card when both these youngsters take the green today in their final round.

Lavindu in the lead in Boys 11-12 segment

The Boys 11-12 (Faldo Futures) category was equally competitive, with Lavindu Premaratna (Anu) leading the pack with a total score of 73 after an impressive second-round 34. Revaan Amarasinghe followed closely with 75.

Genuli in the lead at Girls 11-12 Faldo Futures 

In the Girls 11-12 segment, Genuli Weerakoon (Anu) held her nerve and delivered a consistent performance across both rounds, leading with a total score of 85. Nimasha Iddamalgoda (Anu) secured second place with 104.

Vivaan leads the Boys 9-10 division

In the Boys 9-10 category, Vivaan Singh (Ind) continues to dominate with a total score of 74. Young Jaeden Sathasivam is afighter following in second place on 81.

 Aashna leads the Girls 9-10 division

 Meanwhile in the Girls 9-10 category, Aashna Amogha (Ind) leads with 89, followed closely by Brighton Chan (HK) with a score of 94.
