Fan Zone to be set up for RWC 2023 at Longdon Place Club

CR and FC welcomed French Ambassador Jean-Francois Pactet to the “Home of Rugby”, as the club prepares a fan zone in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2023 in France

CR and FC will be setting up a Fan Zone during the Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2023 matches during the month of October and November 2023.

CR and FC President Tikiri Ellepola along with General Committee and Trustees presented French Ambassador Jean- Francois Pactet with Honorary Membership and a personalised copy of “Tackling Change: 100 years of CR and FC”, a compelling account of the club’s journey.France Le Blues regarded as a very strong favourites on home soil at the RWC. France have made it to the last four teams at every RWC and were runner up on three occasions.

CR and FC has made elaborate arrangements to project all RWC games on a giant screen. For many rugby fans around the globe France is the sentimental favourite. (SJ)
