First win for debutants Sri Lions; beat much fancied CH

Newcomers to the big league, Sri Lions, edged out CH & FC 25/21 to register their first win in the Inter-Club League encounters at the Racecourse ground last weekend.

At the short breather, they led 10/7.

CH scored through Ravindu Anjula, Nirosh Perera, and Chamod Kilan. All three conversions were successfully taken by Janith Chandimal.

Sri Lions scored their tries through Kaveesha Iduranga, Janith Chandimal, and Shehan Diaz. Two of the conversions were successfully taken by Kevin Dixon, who also put over two penalties.

Gihan Yatawara handled the game.
