Five-member committee likely to run SLC till elections

The Ministry of Sports is likely to appoint a committee comprising five members to run Sri Lanka Cricket following the recommendation given by the Attorney General that the term of office of the current office bearers of Sri Lanka Cricket has ceased after 20 February.

The AG’s advice comes after Colombo Colts CC had written to the Minister of Sports seeking an interim committee to run Sri Lanka Cricket as their term of management had come to an end in February.

The five-member committee once appointed will run the administrative affairs of SLC till the elections are held on 20 May.
