The second weekend of matches of the SLC Major Club 3-day tournament will take place from today with a card of eight matches.
Interest will focus on how joint defending champions SSC who suffered a shocking 9 wickets defeat at the hands of Kurunegala YCC last weekend come out of that loss when they host Nugegoda SWC at their home ground at SSC.
Joint defending champions Police SC got their campaign under way in style with a 10-wicket win over Panadura SC. Police SC will play host to Chilaw Marians CC at Police Park. Both Nugegoda SWC and Chilaw Marians CC are coming out for the first time this season after a free opening weekend.
Colts and Bloomfield who won their opening matches will meet at the Colts Grounds, while Panadura SC and Badureliya CC who lost their opening fixtures will meet at Panadura.
Giant killers, Kurunegala YCC will have the advantage of adding another win when they host Kandy Customs SC at the Welagedara Stadium.
Other matches beginning today are: Ace Capital CC vs. Ragama CC at Surrey Village, Maggona; NCC vs. BRC at NCC grounds; and Tamil Union vs. Moors SC at the P. Sara Oval.
