Former Trinity Captain Jaleel off to UK for coaching course

The former Trinity College, cricket ‘Lion,’ national youth player and present Junior Coach of his alma mater, Rushan Jaleel left to England in order to complete a course in sports coaching at the Leeds Beckett University in Yorkshire. 

Rushan after playing for the 1st XI team led the outfit in 2008/2009 winning both the Big Match and One Day encounter against the Antonians. He also took more than 100 wickets in his final season.

He played for Sri Lanka under 19, Ragama CC, Chilaw Marians and Wayamba outfits in his career, played for the national junior outfit for two years touring with them on four occasions. Rushan played alongside with Dinesh Chandimal, Kusal Janith, Angelo Perera, Banuka Rajapakse and Danushka Gunathilake at the Under 19 level. 

He represented the National youth team at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup which took place in New Zealand where Sri Lanka ended by reaching the semi-finals.
