Four Sri Lanka cricketers who have been playing for Police SC in the domestic SLC Major Clubs cricket tournament have officially joined the Sri Lanka Police force.

Kusal Perera and Chamara Silva have been appointed as Chief Police Inspectors, while Ashen Bandara and Nuwan Pradeep have joined as Police Inspectors.

All four players played a pivotal role in Police SC winning a major club cricket title for the first time in their 150-year history when they finished joint champions with SSC in the recently concluded SLC Major League 3-day tournament.

Perera, Bandara and Silva led the Police SC team at various times during the season.

Silva is a former Sri Lanka cricketer who is presently the coach of the Police SC team. He still plays competitive cricket and appeared for Police SC in the current domestic season.

Perera, Bandara and Pradeep are all current national cricketers.
