Fourth encounter of Ananda Cricketer 3rd Innings

Ananda College Cricket Wing will hold for the fourth consecutive year – Ananda Cricketer the 3rd Innings, the Annual Pre-Big Match Social and Dinner at the Balmoral, Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo on 6 March from 7 p.m. onwards.

This event is a much-looked forward to occasion to Past Anandian Cricketers, their families and the well-wishers of the school; a special feature this year is the felicitations accorded to Dr. Sarath Wimalaratne,  a star-class batsman in the 50s who later played for the country, the then Ceylon before migrating to Australia; Ajith De Silva, one of the most outstanding leg spinners in the game who later turned out for the country; A.G. Perera, the Big Match winning captain of 1965; a Posthumous Award for late Lionel Mendis one of  Sri Lanka’s best known Cricket Coaches and the mentor of many an Anandian ‘Cricketing  Grate’ in the last three decades will also be made. Kushil Gunasekera will get involved in a ‘chat on cricket’.

Leading Band Nalin and the Star Combination along with a DJ will provide with live music, and the dress code will be Lounge/National.

The Organising Committee expects the Grand Evening to be an occasion for the past and present Anandians to walk down memory lane reminiscing nostalgic memories of their happy school days.
