Free entry to witness SL v NZ first Test at Galle

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that the public will be given the opportunity to witness the first Test match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand free of charge at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from 18-23.

21 September will be a rest day due to the Presidential election. The Test will resume on 22 September.

The public can enter the ground via Gate Number 4 of the GICs, Galle. Meanwhile, the match officials for the two-Test series at Galle has also been appointed.

Former Indian fast bowler Javagal Srinath will be the ICC Match Referee and the umpiring panel will comprise of ICC Elite Panel Umpires – Michael Gough, Nitin Menon and Ahsan Raza, ICC International Panel of Umpires – Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Raveendra Wimalasiri.
