Galle International Cricket Stadium
Galle International Cricket Stadium will host the two Tests between Sri Lanka and Australia in January next year.
The two Tests will be vital to both teams in deciding who reaches the final of the ICC World Test Championship.
However prior to this series India will tour Australia for five Tests and Sri Lanka will be touring South Africa for two Tests. These two series will be crucial to the four teams’ hopes of reaching Lord’s in
June 2025.
The Galle Tests will be played from 29 January to 2 February and from 6-10 February.
In addition to the two Tests, Australia will also play a one-off ODI against Sri Lanka on 13 February at a venue still to be confirmed in preparation for the Champions Trophy
in Pakistan.
Australia last toured Sri Lanka in 2022 and the two-match Test series ended in a 1-all draw.
Australia are due to arrive in Sri Lanka on
20 January.
