Gamer.LK, recently concluded its 5th edition of Women’s Cyber Games, (WCG) the largest female-focused Esports event in Sri Lanka.
The two-day event saw female players compete in 14 titles in a physical LAN event.
Female gamers from across the island lined up to participate in the following titles: Clash Royale, Cricket Sixes, CS:GO, DOTA 2, FIFA 23, League of Legends, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat 11, Valorant, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends, Free Fire and PUBG MOBILE. The event had a prize pool of Rs.100,000 distributed amongst the winners of the 14 game titles.
WCG witnessed an exceptional display of skill and talent by the female Esports athletes that took part. Darshika Wijesena demonstrated her mastery by securing the top slot in Call of Duty, while Senumi Ekanayake emerged victorious in Valorant Death Match. Dulhani Madusha’s outstanding performance in Clash Royale won her the title and Shanaz Dilum won Mortal Kombat 11 by showcasing complete dominance. Himasha Shalini’s exceptional gameplay and strategic prowess captivated the audience as she secured victories in both League of Legends 1v1 and Mario Kart. PUBG MOBILE saw Shamen Edward rise to the top, while Dilshani Mandira emerged triumphant in Free Fire. Prasangi Poorna clinched the victory in Call of Duty Mobile.

In 2019, Gamer.LK embarked on a journey by launching the Women’s Cyber Games, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at providing female gamers with a dedicated platform to showcase their exceptional abilities. Since then, this event has rapidly evolved into one of the country’s foremost sporting spectacles for women.
