Denta Teen, the brand that helps growing teens unleash their smiles, recently announced its partnership with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) as the title sponsor for the prestigious Denta Teen Cool Tennis Tournament 2024. 

This strategic partnership between Denta and the SLTA aims to promote junior tennis across Sri Lanka, fostering youth engagement in sports, encouraging a culture of physical fitness, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Through this partnership, Denta Teen supports the next generation of athletes, empowering them to pursue their passions and build a strong foundation for future success. The journey to the grand event began with a series of regional tournaments held across key cities in Sri Lanka. The regional tournaments attracted high participation, reflecting the growing interest in tennis among young athletes. Competitions took place in Galle, Kandy, Negombo, and Colombo, with each city hosting a series of thrilling matches that brought out the best in the players:

Galle regional tournament results:

  • Boys’ red ball: St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa – champion
  • Boys’ orange ball: Richmond College, Galle – champion
  • Boys’ green ball: Richmond College, red team, Galle – champion
  • Girls’ green ball: Kalutara Balika National School – champion

Kandy regional tournament results:

  • Boys’ red ball: St. Patrick’s College, Jaffna – champion
  • Boys’ orange ball: Jaffna Hindu Primary School – champion
  • Boys’ green ball: St. Patrick’s College, gold team, Jaffna – champion

Negombo regional tournament results:

  • Boys’ red ball: De Mazenod College, Kandana – champion
  • Girls’ red ball: Ave Maria Convent, Negombo – champion
  • Boys’ orange ball: St. Joseph’s College, Negombo – champion
  • Girls’ orange ball: Ave Maria Convent, Negombo – champion
  • Boys’ green ball: St. Anthony’s College, Negombo – champion
  • Girls’ green ball: Newstead Girls’ College, blue team, Negombo – champion

Colombo regional tournament results:

  • Boys’ red ball: Ananda College, A-team, Colombo – champion
  • Girls’ red ball: Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo – champion
  • Boys’ orange ball: Ananda College, A-team, Colombo – champion
  • Girls’ orange ball: Ladies College, Colombo – champion

The turnout at each regional tournament was remarkable, with Galle attracting 32 teams, Kandy 24, Negombo 35, and Colombo 83. The enthusiasm and competitive spirit displayed by the young athletes were truly inspiring. Each region played a crucial role in identifying and nurturing young talent, from the coastal courts of Galle to the bustling city of Colombo.

Denta recognises the importance of sports in building confidence, discipline, and teamwork. The A Division and the Super Series tournament are scheduled to take place on 18, 19, and 20 October at the SLTA.
