Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank HNB PLC will kick off the third consecutive year as the ‘Preferred Banker’ to the Colombo Rugby and Football Club (CR&FC). The new agreement will lock in all of the club’s transactions through the bank. HNB cardholders will have the advantage of a range of benefits, including discounts on bills.

HNB’s many digital platforms will be available for the membership, such as the HNB FIT savings account, Asia’s first ever fitness-linked savings product that rewards health conscious individuals with daily bonus interest rates for the number of steps taken each day. HNB has already introduced innovative financial tools such as HNB Payfast, which enables the club to tackle all of its salary payments within a single, simplified and cost-effective platform. HNB SOLO, the bank's proprietary mobile wallet, has also gained some traction amongst the members of the club.

This year, HNB was adjudged the Number One Business Entity among top Sri Lankan corporates by Business Today and has been receiving continuous praise for its pioneering initiatives across the entire spectrum of its operations. The bank was judged 'Best Managed Bank in Sri Lanka’ by the prestigious Asian Banker Magazine, while the bank's Managing Director/CEO Jonathan Alles was conferred the Asian Banker's ‘CEO Leadership Achievement' award.

Among its accolades, HNB was declared 'Sri Lanka's Best Bank' for 2019 by Euromoney Magazine for the third time, in addition to being ranked among the World Top 1000 Banks list compiled by the prestigious UK-based Banker Magazine, further strengthening its status as Sri Lanka's pre-eminent private sector bank. Recently, HNB was recognised among the ‘Top 10 Most Admired Companies in Sri Lanka’ by Sri Lanka’s International Chamber of Commerce and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). HNB's remarkable track record of excellence secured it first place ranking ahead of all other Sri Lankan banks included in the LMD Top 100 Club – a position evaluated based on its performance over the past 25 years.
