Hardcore Trinity supporter Perumal no more

One of the most hardcore supporters of Trinity sports, known to many as simply Perumal, passed away after a brief illness in Kandy on Monday night. He was 75 years old at the time of his death.

Perumal, a die-hard Trinity Rugby supporter since 1963, was seen in all Trinity matches either in Kandy or Colombo. He continued his loyal service as the cheer leader for the up country school for more than five decades specialising in the game of rugby football.

His funeral arrangements will be held in Mahiyawa today. (SJ)
