Former Kingswoodian Nayana Dehigama won two events

Young 17-year-old golfing sensation from Trinity College Kandy, Haroon Aslam and ever-green golfer Chamara Abyrathne stamped their class by becoming the gross and net winners respectively at the annual Millennium Trophy 2021 which was worked off last week-end at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC).
More than 50 golfers teed off in this annual event which took place for three days. The initial two day’s events saw the Scott Rowe and Golden Putter segments taking place.
Meanwhile the Gross runner-up award went to Chamra Abyrathne and Nett runner up win went to Haroon Aslam’s father, Aslam Mohideen.
The Scott Rowe event which was worked off on the initial day saw the former Kingswoodian, Nayana Dehigama in sparkling form winning the event by accumulating 38 points. He had a double when he accounted for the Golden Putter on the following day with 33 points.
