Haroon finishes 18th at Pondok Indah International Amateur Golf

Young sensational golfer from the central hills Haroon Aslam had to be satisfied with his 18th position overall in the 57 golfers event at the MedcoEnergi World Amateur Golf Championship which concluded in Indonesia recently.

Haroon, who was placed in 14th position on day two, had a tough day in the green being pushed down a further four positions to end on 18th overall. Haroon ended with a total score of 225 while the winner was Rayhan Latief (Indonesia) with 209.

Haroon, speaking from Indonesia, said: “It was an honour to represent Sri Lanka Golf (SLG) in the prestigious Pondok Indah International Amateur Golf Championship in Indonesia. SLG’s dedication to nurturing talent, especially for young golfers is truly commendable. Their support has been great throughout my journey, and I am very grateful.”
