Hasaranga among ICC nominees for Men’s T20I Player of the Year award

ICC: Sri Lanka’s leg-spinning all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is among four ICC nominees for the Men’s T20I Player of the Year award. The ICC Awards 2021 recognises the outstanding achievements and feats in cricket over the past year and includes two brilliant wicketkeeper-batters and two all-rounders.

Hasaranga (36 wickets in 20 matches at 11.63; 196 runs with one half-century) is competing with three others who are in the running for the award namely, Mohammad Rizwan of Pakistan (1326 runs in 29 matches at an average of 73.66 with one century; 24 dismissals), Mitchell Marsh of Australia (627 runs in 27 matches at 36.88; 8 wickets at 18.37) and Jos Buttler of England (589 runs in 14 matches at 65.44 with one century; 13 dismissals).
