Sri Lanka’s leading white-ball all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has undergone successful surgery on his injured hamstring that has kept him out of the Asia Cup and the ongoing World Cup.

“I am happy to inform you that my surgery to repair the defect in my hamstring muscle/tendon was a success. I will be out of action for a while but I look forward to coming back stronger for my country,” said Hasaranga in a message.
