Havelock Sports Club power their way to victory over CR&FC

Sponsored by Mobitel, the Havelock Sports Club or Havies as they are fondly known, sustained their winning streak, trouncing rivals CR&FC by 31 points to 24 in their second-round Inter-Club League rugby match at Havelock Park on Sunday. 

Right through this tournament, the Havelock Sports Club have demonstrated their superior prowess on the playing field.  With the score stationed at 19:19 a few minutes before the match, two tries by Havelocks through Mithum Hapugoda and Dushmantha Priyadharshana off a rolling maul sealed the match for the Havelock Sports Club as they accelerated to the finale and triumphed at the final whistle with 31-24. 

Mobitel’s CEO Nalin Perera was invited as the Chief Guest for the match and was present to cheer the Havelock Sports Club on to yet another victory. By sponsoring sporting encounters in all parts of the island, Mobitel is empowering a generation of sporting talent in the country.
