Havies continue to focus on the League

Havelock Sports Club made a brilliant comeback in the later half to beat the strong CH and FC outfit 31/17 at the Race Course ground last weekend.

At the short breather scores stood at 7 a-piece.

CH drew first blood through Hooker, Prasath Madushanka try and Hirusha Sampath added the extra 2 points. Next 15 minutes saw both teams trying to beat the better of their opponents but none of them gave in. At last Havies Hooker, Azmir Fajudeen found the try line. Sandesh Jayawickrema added the extra two points to equalize at seven apiece.

After the turn around, Havies went ahead through Niwanka Prasad try and Sandesh Jayawickrema on target with the kick at goal to take the lead 14/7 favoring the Park Club. Then Shehan Diaz who had a grand game touched down and Sandesh continued with his fine kicking form for the Havies to take the score to 21/7. Randika Warnapura scored next for the Havies to take the lead 26/5. 

Rohitha Rajapakse put over a neat drop goal and Yohan Fernando try with Hirusha Sampath added the extras to make a comeback but the Park Club who had other ideas touched down their last try through Maleesha Madumewa.
