Havies continue winning streak

Havelock Sports Club continued their winning form when they edged out Sri Lanka Air Force by 26 points (4 tries, 3 conversions) to 22 points (3 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) in their Inter Club league rugby encounter which concluded at the Havelock Park last night.

At the short breather Havies led 19/15.

The Park Club tries were scored by Ramesh Fernando, Mithun Hapugoda, Lasindu Karunathilake and Vimukthi Rahula. Sandesh Jayawickrema was on target with three of the conversions. Meanwhile Sri Lanka Air Force tries were scored by Prakram Ratnayake, Gayantha Iddamalgoda and Nuwan Perera. Nuwan was on target with two of the try conversions and put over a penalty as well. Referee was Gihan Yatawara.

Sri Lanka Rugby successfully completed week 3 of the matches sans any sponsors in this tournament. (SJ)
