Havies end round 1 on a winning note defeating Navy

Havelock Sports Club completed their round 1 fixtures when they handed off the last-placed Navy Sports Club by 39 points (6 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty) to 26 points (4 tries, 3 conversions) at Havelock Park last evening. 

At the short breather Havies led 29/7.

Havies tries were scored by Oliver Buckle, Nipul Athukorale, Sudesh Jayawickrema, Jayathu Rajarathna, Udara Lakshan and Stephan Sivaraj. Janith Chandimal put over a penalty and put over three try conversions.

Sailors tries were scored by Kavisha Gayashan, Lahiru Herath, Stephan Gregory and Amith Madushanka. Conversions were taken by Isuru Kongahawatte, Stevan Sansoni.

Referee was Deepal Punyawardena.

Havies will feature in the Cup segment, while Sri Lanka Navy SC will play in the Plate Championship during their second round.
