Havies put an end to CR and FC’s unbeaten run when they beat the Longdon Place club by 53 points (8 tries, 5 conversion, 1 penalty) to 42 points (7 tries, 2 conversions, 1 penalty) at Havelock Park last evening. With this win Havies regained the Commander Matthysz trophy.

At the short breather Park Club led 31/13.

Havies scored their tries through Chethana Rajarathne (5), Jayathu Rajarathne (2) and Sachindra Waidyanatha. Samuel Maduwantha converted 5 of them and put over a solitary penalty as well

CR scored their tries through Gemunu Chetiya (2), Adeesha Weeratune, Thineth Gamage, Thenuka Nanayakkara, Randy Silva and Chamod Muthunayake. Mursheed Doray converted 2 and put over a solitary penalty.
