Hayleys Group, led by Ronil Cooray, emerged as the new MCA Masters Hardball Cricket ‘Sixes’ 2024 champions, beating Amana Takaful in the final of the fifth Maliban Biscuits-sponsored ‘Maliban Cream Cracker’ Trophy tournament, concluded at the MCA and D.S. Senanayake College grounds on Sunday, 23 February.
16 teams pooled into six groups participated and at the completion of the round robin stage, the following eight teams advanced to the Knockout quarter finals: HNB ‘A’, David Pieris Group of Companies, Commercial Bank, and Hayleys Group from the MCA grounds; Nations Trust Bank, Amana Takaful, Maliban Biscuits, and HNB ‘B’ from the DSS grounds.
The Chief Guest at the post-tournament awards presentation was Maliban Biscuits Group Human Resources and Administration Manager Rohana Wijesuriya, who is also a member of the MCA Cricket Development Committee and Cricket Academy. Wijesuriya, along with MCA Tournament Committee Chairman Lakmal de Silva, gave away the awards.

Best Bowler: Yohan Jayaweera from Hayleys Group
Best Batsman: Rumi Mohideen from Amana Takaful.
Most Sixes in the Tournament and Man of the Final: Maduranga Soysa from Hayleys Group
Most Senior Player: 60-year-old Neil de Silva from Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC
