Hayleys’ Nadun and Stafford Motor’s Tarindra in MCA Open Snooker finals

Nadun Wijeratne from Hayleys Group and Tarindra Kaluperuma from Stafford Motor Co. will clash in the MCA Open Snooker Championship 2019 final on Friday at 6.30 p.m. at the MCA Billiards and Snooker Room.

In the first semi-final, Wijeratne was stretched to three frames by Milinda Mallikarachchi; Wijeratne won the first frame comfortably at 81/23, only to see Mallikarachchi fighting back to equalise at 57/25; in a tense last frame, Wijeratne managed to pip Mallikarachchi at 56/55. In the second semi-final, the MCA Tournament Secretary Tarindra Kaluperuma made easy passage to the final, beating Chaminda Madanayake in straights at 91/12 and 60/46. In the preliminary stage, Nadun Wijeratne beat Chamika Ambagahawatte and Uthpala Samindra; while Tarindra Kaluperuma beat Kanchana Samarasinghe and H.U.U. Buddhima.
