Hayleys, Stafford Motor enter final of MCA “E” division 25 Over League

Hayleys Group RC “B” and Stafford Motor Co. entered the final in the 20th David Pieris Group of Companies sponsored, “DPGC” Challenge Trophy-MCA “E” division 25 Over League Tournament 2023, winning their Semi Finals, played on Sunday, 05 February (Poya day) 

In the top half Semi Final, Hayleys Group RC “B” coasted to a comfortable 48 runs win over Amana Takaful, while Stafford Motors managed a close 15 runs win over LOLC in the bottom half Semi Final.

Hayleys Group “B” – 157 all out in 24.1 overs (Sandaru Dimantha 53, Thashik Perera 36, T. Prashan 3/16, Amila Sampath 2/27, Irshad Umar 2/23) 

Amana Takaful – 109 all out in 21.1 overs. (Migara Wickramasinghe 38, Irfan Ghouse 25, Mihindu Ariyaratne 4/14 , Sahan Nanayakkara 3/23, P. Ratnayake 2/13)

At Thurstan: 

Stafford Motors – 121 for 7 in 25 overs (Goshitha Sajith 47, D. Udara  2/10, M. Ratnayake 2/27)

LOLC: 106 for 9 in 25 overs. (S. Fernando 24, Chamalka Fernando 2/15, S. Vishan – 2/15. S. Perera 2/20)

The final between Hayleys Group RC “B”  and Stafford Motors will take place on Saturday 11 February at the MCA Ground commencing 10.00 a.m.
