Heavy rain in Colombo as game abandoned

The Football Sri Lanka (FSL) organised Inaugural Four Nations International Invitation Soccer Tournament between Sri Lanka and Maldives which was to be played at the Racecourse ground yesterday was abandoned due to heavy rain and water logged in playing field. The event is played for the Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy.

This event will witness Bangladesh, Maldives, Seychelles and host Sri Lanka. The postponed game between Bangladesh and Seychelles is scheduled for today with the kick off at 4 p.m. at the Racecourse grounds in Colombo. (SJ)
