Hetti to coach Army SC

Former Rajans, Kandy SC, Up Country Lions, CR & FC, national sevens and fifteens player, Radhika Hettiarachchi will be the Head Coach of the Sri Lankan Army Sports Club rugby outfit for 2020/2021.

Radika played for the Rajans outfit from 1995 to 1998 winning colors and Dagaba, which is the highest for any in the Dharmaraja College.

After leaving school he represented Kandy SC from 1997 to 2005 and then 2008 to 2010, leading the outfit to become the triple champions under his leadership in 2004. 

He won many individual awards in his playing career and later led the Up Country Lions SC in 2013. He was an iron man for the national team representing both in the sevens and fifteens teams for over a decade.

Hettiarachchi who is a World Rugby 2 qualified coach who played for the national team in both forms of the game. Later he went on to coach Dharmaraja which won the league in 2013. He was selected to coach the Nepal Men’s and Women’s outfit. He will continue his good work with the Army SC for 2020/2021.
