Udara Lakmal with a consistent performance throughout the tournament, steered Holiday Plan DMC to emerge as the new Gold winner in the 21st Travel Trade Sports Club mixed Bowling Championships 2024, sponsored by Cinnamon Grand, and concluded at the Strikes Cosmic Bowling Centre, Excel World, Darley Road on 20 April.
Udara Lakmal with a top score of 169 points in the first round, continued his good form in the final round, which helped Holiday Plan DMC, (365) to nudge the 2023 Silver winner, Exotic Holidays International “C” (364) by the skin of their teeth.
Forty eight teams from 24 TTSC Member firms participated in 3 rounds of bowling, comprising 79 matches on 7 lanes (48 + 24 + 07).
In the opening round, all teams consisting 3 players each, bowled one round each; and at the completion, the top scoring 24 teams advanced to the second round; and at the end of the 2nd round, the top scoring 7 teams, advanced to the Final round.

Gold Winner/Holiday Plan DMC (365 points); team comprising: Udara Lakmal, Rohan Jayamanne and Palani Kumar
Special Awards: Most Outstanding Player/Female: Kanchana Malluwawadu from ITQ Lanka Legends; Most outstanding player/Male: Udara Lakmal from Holiday Plan DMC
Awards were presented by the Chief Guest Cinnamon Grand Manager Marketing Emanthi Peter along with TTSC officials, President Dilshan Gnanapragasam, Gen. Secretary Marvan Madanayake, Asst. Secretary and Tournament Coordinator Lalin Sumanasinghe and Executive Committee Member and Tournament Coordinator Kanishka Udawatte.
