ICBT Colombo win at Sevens

ICBT Colombo won the ICBT Inter University Rugby Sevens 2019 which was worked off at the Royal Sports Complex. In the Cup final they outclassed Mercury Institute 38/0.

An encouraging factor of the tournament this year was the participation of a large number of school leavers and several top ‘A’ Division club players in the competition, which attracted 10 university teams. ICBT Colombo, Mercury Institute, ANC Foundation, SLIM, NSBM ‘A’ and ‘B’, Royal Institute, KDU, Saegis Campus and ICBT Kandy participated. The tournament was organised and conducted by ICBT with the collaboration of Sri Lanka Rugby. ICBT Kandy won the Plate beating NSBMA 26/19. Kotelawala Defence won the Bowl defeating SLIM 42/0.
