The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the ICC World Test Championship final 2025 will be played from 11-15 June 2025, as the top two sides in the standings will compete in the ultimate test at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

This ultimate test is the culmination of two years of intense competition in the ICC World Test Championship, spanning 69 Test matches over 27 series played to decide the finalists.

India is currently at the top of the Test standings as per the percentage points that determine qualification, with Australia close behind in second place. New Zealand is in third place, with England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa bunched together mid-table. The Test at Lord’s will decide the winner of the third edition of the ICC World Test Championship.

New Zealand won the inaugural championship in 2021, and Australia lifted the Test Championship Mace in 2023.
