IDB Workshop Department wins Cricket Tournament (Soft Ball) Trophy

The members of the Workshop Department of the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon (IDB), Moratuwa won the Cricket Tournament (Soft Ball) Trophy this year. 

The cricket tournament was played for the 13th year and the final round was played between the IDB Workshop Department vs. the IDB Welfare Society, on Sunday, 10 December at the Jana Jaya College Grounds, while the second place was won by Administrative Department, and the third place was won by the Lathe Department.

The Best Cricketer Award was won by J.S.P. Jayasinghe of the Lathe Department, the Best Baller Award and the Man of the Match Award was won by L.H.K. Chandana of the Workshop Department.

The annual tournament was organised by the IDB Cricket Club with the blessings of IDB Chairman Mahinda Jinasena, Director General P.L.U. Rathnamalala and the approval of the Board of Directors and Heads of all departments.
