Ibrahim to coach Sri Lanka Air Force

Former Kingswood, Kandy SC, CH&FC, and Police fly half and Navy SC, Sri Lanka Under-20, Indian Sevens and Fifteens and Sri Lanka Sevens and Fifteens Coach and Thomians and Science Coach, Ronny Ibrahim will be the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Air Force for the 2017/2018 rugby season which will kick-off early next month.

Ibrahim comes from the famous family of six brothers, where five of them led Kingswood at rugby. He played for Kingswood from 1984 to 1986 before joining CH&FC before crossing over to Police SC.

He took the responsibility of bringing the Navy rugby outfit into high standard, winning many trophies for the Welisara outfit. This year, he will have an uphill task to bring the Air Force outfit into the top among other clubs.

Ronny stated: “The Air Force guys are a disciplined lot and eager to learn. We do not have big names but sure to shock a few and the young team is all out to give their best.”
