Inaugural LPL player auction on 14 June

The inaugural player auction of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be conducted on 14 June at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.

This is the first time the tournament, which is Sri Lanka’s topmost domestic T20 league with an international flavour, is conducting a player auction.

Each franchise team will bring in a sum of $ 500,000 for the auction to bid for players, thus totalling up to an overall sum of $ 2.5 million from all five teams.

The fourth edition of the LPL will be held from 30 July to 20 August.
