Inaugural Monsoon Cup receives record entries

Eagles Golf Link will host the Monsoon Cup 

The Inaugural Monsoon Cup Golf event which is sponsored by Huawei Technologies received a record 95 entries which will tee off on 1 October at the Sri Lanka Air Force Golf Course in China Bay.

Speaking to Daily FT, Sri Lanka Air Force Golf Chairman Prasanna Ranasinghe said: “We are delighted with the number of entries for our very first event. This will be a board event in the future. All arrangements being finalised and the players will travel to Trincomalee today (30 September) with the event taking place on 1 October. The first tee off will be at 7 a.m. We will have the prize giving on the same night. Further we are very thankful to Huawei for coming forward during a tough economic crisis time.” 

He also thanked Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana for giving the full support in order to conduct this event which will be an annual one going forward.
