India ‘A’ and Barristers of England and Wales qualified for the semi-finals of the Lawyers Cricket World Cup to be played today (5).
India ‘A’ will meet Sri Lanka ‘A’ at the NCC ground while Pakistan ‘A’ will meet Barristers of England and Wales at the Thurstan ground in the semi-finals.
India ‘A’ powered by 97 off 43 balls with eight boundaries and nine sixes by Shubhendu Kaushik registered their fifth win in five outings defeating Sri Lanka ‘ B’ by 155 runs in a game reduced to 25 overs per side. Invited to bat first at the BRC India ‘A’ scored 245/7.
At the Thurstan ground Pakistan ‘B’ defeated Barristers of England and Wales by 3 wickets to dash Sri Lanka B’s hopes of playing in the plate semi-finals.
