India emerged champions of the PD Champions Trophy 2025 held in Sri Lanka

India powered by a half century from Yogendra Bhadora followed up with a four wicket haul from Radhika Prasad defeated England by 79 runs in the final of the PD Champions Trophy 2025 played at the FTZ ground on Tuesday.
Teams comprising of physically challenged sportsmen from England, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participated in the PD Champions Trophy 2025 organised and conducted by the Sri Lanka Cricket Association for Physically Challenged.
The four teams played two T20 games against each other to qualify for the finals, with India winning five of their six games and England winning four. Pakistan were in third position with three wins while hosts Sri Lanka were unable to register even a single win.
In the final India elected to bat first after winning the toss scored 197/4 in their alloted 20 overs. Opener Yogendra Bhatia top scored with 73 off 40 balls (4×4 and 6×5) while Majid and Narendra Mangore contributed with unbeaten 30 plus scores. Liam O’brien and Alex Hammond took two wickets each.
The Indian bowlers did well to contain the strong English batters to 118 in the chase. Radhika Prasad was the pick of the bowlers picking up four wickets while Ravindra Sante and Virrant Kent were rewarded with two wickets each.
