Indian Premier League trophy unveiled in New Delhi

Reuters: Former cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra unveiled the Indian Premier League trophy in New Delhi on Thursday (March 29).

The trophy unveiling ceremony attracted scores of cricket fans in the Indian capital. The cricket enthusiasts were also given mini cricket bats signed by Chopra.

Chopra, who played for two franchises, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, said Delhi Daredevils was one of the favorites along with Mumbai Indians to win this edition of the cash-rich T20 tournament.

The tournament commences from next week in western Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium where in Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings. Final match of the tournament will be played on 27 May at the same venue.
