Indonesian rugby team in Colombo

The Indonesian national men’s and women’s sevens rugby teams will be in Colombo this weekend to play some warm-up matches.  

There will be encounters against the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Air Force and CR & FC in the Women’s segment, while in the Men’s encounter they will play against the Sri Lanka Development Squad. The first day’s play will take place on 12 May starting at 9 a.m. and the second day’s play will continue on the following day with the kick-off scheduled at 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka High Performance Rugby Director Inthi Marikar will continue with the national sevens team till the Asian Games, which will take place in Indonesia during August this year. If the national team preparation is good and is supported by Sri Lanka Rugby, they can bring home the first team medal for the country in Rugby Football.
