Isipathana beat Antonians

Isipathana College pulled off a hard fought 37 points (5 tries, 3 conversions, 2 penalties) to 26 points (4 tries, 3 conversions) win over the Antonians at Longdon Place last weekend.

Isipathana took a clear lead 18/5 at the short breather but the lads from Katugastota put up a gallant effort in the later half.

Nisaja Jayaweera (2), Rinesh Silva, Troshan Gamage and Shahid Zumri scored for the Green Shirts with Rinesh adding the extras. Meanwhile for the Katugastota lads Roshen Kumara, Jude Realano, Tyron mariyadas and Saduka Athokorale, Sahan did the kicking duty.

Once again ugly crowd behaviour continued when one of the spectators threw a bottle at Antonian Rugby Director, Shanitha Fernando, former CR player. He was treated by the Match day doctor.
