Girls champion Jaffna Mahajana Vidyalaya

Jaffna Mahajana Vidyalaya girls and Gampola International School boys emerged victorious cup champions at the Nestlé Milo Under 12 Sri Lanka inter-school Football Carnival 2024 held at the Racecourse grounds, Colombo on Saturday.

The tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Football Association, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Nestle Milo, saw Jaffna Mahajana Vidyalaya beat Kurunegala Maliyadeva 2-0 in the girls’ cup final.

In the boys’ final after a closely contested game and penalty shootout, Gampola International School beat Anuradhapura St. Joseph Vidyalaya 5-4.

A total of 112 teams covering schools across 25 districts took part.
